Abstract

since the grip of religious theories and convictions is very strong in him. Although the thorough study of Iqbal's poetry proves that Islamic philosophy is of the foremost importance in the making of Iqbal's ideology. Whereas, in his poetry there are certain points, which lift him up to the global level. In the second era of his poetry (up to 1908) Iqbal's numerous visions are of universal appeal. The central point of his poetry after 1908 is indeed the religion of Islam, yet in every era Iqbal's poetry has encompassed such everlasting truths which cannot be associated to any specific sect, religion or civilization. Iqbal always had the foresight which enabled him to be regarded as a poet of universal level. This is why Iqbal's poetry is catalogued in the great literature of the world that aims to obtain the humane greatness. In this research article those points of Iqbal's poetry would be shortly discussed which proves him a universal thinker and a global scholar.
