SUBMISSIONS_GUIDELINES
“Afkar e Taza” requires authors to follow APA guidelines for writing, formatting and referencing a research paper. Some specific guidelines given should also be observed.
Paper Type
“Afkar e Taza” accepts research papers, review papers, and case studies. The general guidelines for preparing a research paper for submission to “Afkar e Taza” are given below.
General Guidelines
- Write the whole manuscript should in Urdu, English, Persian, Arabic languages.
- Type the manuscript on white bond paper, 8-1/2×11 inches (21.6×27 cm or A4 size paper) with margins of at least 1.5 inches (4cm).
- Articles must be submitted in MS Word, (For Urdu Article Jameel Noori Nastalik, For Arabic Muhammadi Quran, Font Size 14 and for English in Times New Roman, Font Size 12).
- The manuscript should be submitted with one inch (1″) margin. Use "A4" size.
- Keep one-line spacing in all text. Use Times New Roman, size 12.
- The first line of each paragraph should be indented except in the Abstract.
Length & other Guidlines
- The numbers of the pages must be between 10 to 15.
- The first page of the manuscript should be the title page and include the following.
- The title of the manuscript should be boldfaced, centered, and in Upper Lowercase.
- Author(s)' name/s should be boldfaced, centered, and in Upper Lowercase.
- Designation and affiliation details should be centered and in Upper Lowercase.
- The email address of the corresponding author should be provided.
Headings
First, second, and third-level headings should be according to the guidelines.
Figures
Figures should be according to the guidelines.
References
- The Article should meet the research standards.
- Text and references must follow the format outlined in the Chicago Manual of Style i.e.:
- Bukhari, Abu Abdullah, Muhammad Bin Ismaeel, Al Jama’e Sahih, chapter: Al salah , Sub Chapter : Salah tul Jummah, Hadees No: 370, Delhi karkhana, Tijarat kutub , 1938.
- Please follow this structure for references: (Author, Book, Publisher, Address, Year, Page)
- References should be at the end of the article (Endnote)
- All References citing books must contain the complete title, name of the author(s), place of publication, publishing company, and date.
- All foreign words must be underlined and transliterated.
Structure of Abstract
Authors must supply a structured abstract in their submission comprising of following listed items:
- Purpose (mandatory)
- Design/methodology/approach (mandatory)
- Findings (mandatory)
- Conclusions (mandatory)
- Research limitations/implications (if applicable)
- Practical implications (if applicable)
- Originality/value (mandatory)
A maximum of 250 words in total.
Keywords
Keywords should be written under the Abstract. The maximum number of keywords is six, arranged in alphabetical order.
